Blackheads
What are blackheads?
No, it's not a live worm in your skin, and no, blackheads are not contagious. I know this article is long, but I promise you that by the time you're done, you'll know everything there is to know about blackheads/comedones/blackheads/whiteheads/whiteheads. Blackheads, or comedones as we call them in professional language, are clogged sebaceous glands. They come in two variants: The black, open ones, which are seen as small dots in the skin - also called blackheads. And then there are the small, white swellings that are closed under a thin layer of skin - also called whiteheads. It is the same material in both types, but oxygen causes the open ones to be colored dark.
In dermatology, blackheads are among acne outbreaks. So blackheads are actually very mild acne, and are therefore often treated as such. However, it is important to state that when we talk about blackheads/comedones, it is not an inflammation. Therefore, antibacterial acne preparations or acne medications against inflammation and inflammation will have no effect.
However, they are very annoying and I hated my blackheads with all my heart before I found the solution, which was right next to me. I have put together a package specifically aimed at blackheads/comedones, and even if you don't choose Raz Skincare, my guide will probably teach you all the tricks to get rid of your blackheads
Why do you get blackheads?
The reason why these blackheads / comedones form is an overproduction of sebum in the sebaceous glands' discharge passages.
Who gets blackheads / comedones?
Blackheads / comedones are experienced in almost all skin types on almost all people. However, blackheads / comedones develop more frequently and more severely in people with oily skin. Oily skin means skin that produces (too much) sebum. The production of sebum in your sebaceous glands is greater during puberty and in women during menstruation. It is the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that is responsible for the overproduction of sebum.
Where do you get blackheads?
Blackheads / comedones can form anywhere on the body. You can get the small white blackheads on the chest, you can easily get them on the legs, yes, anywhere where hair is also formed.
Why do you get blackheads on your nose?
The skin on your nose is thicker than your cheeks and actually has a lot of hair. As the skin is thicker, the sebaceous glands fill up with sebum more clearly. It is therefore easier for an overproduction of sebum to get stuck in a thicker and more stubborn skin than the skin on the cheeks. Although the cheeks can also easily get blackheads just like the islands.
How to remove blackheads on the nose?
Getting rid of blackheads is easier than you think. I have done a gentle and effective removal of your blackheads where we ensure that they do not come back.
Why do you get blackheads in your ears? How to remove blackheads in the ears?
The ears are surprisingly vulnerable to blackheads because the skin inside the ear canal is covered with hundreds of tiny hair follicles and glands that produce oil and earwax. If these glands produce too much oil, your skin breaks out and you end up with blackheads and, in the worst case, acne. Therefore, be careful about your cleaning of the ears. Finally, do it as gently as possible. If you are unlucky enough to get blackheads in your ears, they must be removed just as gently as those on your face, see and follow my effective treatment which also ensures that the blackheads do not return.
If you have hair removed, do you stop getting blackheads?
Unfortunately, blackheads are not removed with the hair, the sebaceous gland is located next to the hair follicle, and this will still work even if the hair is not present. So no, even after permanent hair removal you will be able to form blackheads. See possibly the nose, where the hairs are almost completely gone, here really a lot of blackheads / comedones form.
Can I squeeze my blackheads?
Is there anything more liberating than popping a blackhead? The answer is no, it's super delicious and you're welcome, you just have to stay within these rules. Clean the skin gently, preferably with lukewarm water, so that the skin is soft and warm. Only apply light pressure, nothing to burst blood vessels or the like. It must be a light pressure and you must only use your little fingers. And now stop proving how strong your little fingers are, it's just a little massaging pressure. It must not be harder than a green grape not to break. Be careful that the nails do not damage your skin.
IMPORTANT: Better not to do it than to do it. So better follow the effective guide I have made for you, which also ensures that your blackheads do not come back.
What should I never do about blackheads/comedones?
1. Use cleaning products with alcohol.
Alcohol dries out the skin and actually worsens the problem.
2. Use cleaning wipes.
The cleaning wipes I have found on the market do not clean gently and thoroughly enough, so I recommend that you find another solution.
3. Hide them with bold makeup.
The greasy makeup can worsen the problem if it clogs the pores, Better to get rid of them at night so it is no longer a problem.
4. Deep cleansing facial treatments.
It's a bit like peeing your pants in freezing weather, it only helps at first. Your blackheads are guaranteed to return. You better change your skin routine.
5. Masks that claim you can pull the blackheads out after the mask has been on for 20 minutes.
I have tested most of them and have yet to find one that actually worked, and if one day I found one that did, the blackheads would just come back. You only need a correct skin routine.
Does bad cleansing give blackheads?
Poor cleansing of the skin is a major reason for blackheads. Another reason is that sebum cannot get out of your sebaceous glands. This happens if, for example, you do not clean your skin properly, sufficiently or clean it with too harsh cleaning products. So yes, an incorrect cleansing of your skin can cause lots of blackheads. When the skin is not cleansed or if the cleansing is too irritating for the skin, the dead skin cells will clog the opening of the pores and this causes sebum / tallow to accumulate and tadaaa, you have got a blackhead.
You should be careful with which cleanser you use, I would always recommend as mild a cleanser as possible, and preferably with as many vitamins and minerals as possible. I myself use the Raz Skincare Cleansing Mask every night and morning, and I no longer have blackheads myself. You can see more about it here! Of course, I can easily break out to this day, but now they are easy for me to remove and they are rare.
Can I clean too hard?
Yes, if you clean too vigorously, with too much soap, cleansing wipes or alcohol, you will overcleanse the skin. You remove all the fat, which actually causes your sebaceous glands to overproduce again. This is because your skin actually needs a lot of fat to stay supple. If you constantly remove fat from the skin, you stimulate the skin itself to produce even more fat and then you have aggravated the problem.
Can makeup cause blackheads?
The skin's pores can easily be clogged by overuse of the wrong make-up, too much foundation or a lack of cleansing. It is so important to have a mild cleanser like Raz Skincare Cleansing Mask to ensure optimal cleansing of your skin. A really good rule of thumb is that no matter what you put on your face during the day, you should remove it before you go to bed.
Does sunscreen cause blackheads?
Only the physical sun filters can clog your pores. Not the chemical ones. I know it's a messy world to navigate. And I'd much rather you cleanse properly and use Raz Skincare A retinoid for your blackheads than not use sunscreen. Don't worry, we can easily ensure that you get rid of your blackheads / comedones. This is also why I have put together the package for you that you see on this page. But I'd rather let you read and learn even more, so please read on.
Treatment of blackheads/comedones - Treatment of blackheads/comedones - you must use these products, as I am unsure how quickly it can go, I have made the package with small products that I think can help.
Morning routine – sequence and use
1. Raz Skincare Cleansing Mask
Simply use this cleansing mask as a cleanser morning and evening. If you cleanse for just 30 seconds in the morning and evening, you've been wearing it for half an hour a month without realizing it. You can try your hand at sitting with the Raz Skincare Cleansing Mask for 10 minutes, but no longer either. It is not necessary at all, and we would rather remove them gently and without irritating the skin.
2. Raz Skincare hh – Hyaluron
With Raz Skincare Hh, which is a moisture serum, we get a lot of moisture bound to your skin, and in this way you get a lot of elasticity for your skin. When the skin is optimally moisturised, it will be more elastic, and therefore any overstimulation of the sebaceous glands will not clog the pores but simply disappear into the skin. This one may not be a must for everyone, and is therefore not included in the package, and must therefore be added.
3. Raz Skincare Face Face Cream Rich
We must have bound both moisture and fat to your skin, so that you don't get fat yourself. The many measures will also inhibit any irritations and bacteria that can be in your blackheads. The cream contains SPF30, so that we also protect you from the harmful rays, so that your skin will be able to rebuild itself optimally. I expect it is enough to use this cream in the start-up phase and therefore I have also only included it for start-up. However, it may be an idea to add it to your normal routine if you are not already using a day cream with SPF.
Evening routine – sequence and use
1. Raz Skincare Cleansing Mask
Exactly as in the morning, but now you also use it as a make-up remover. Yes, the Raz Skincare Cleansing Mask also removes makeup. I apply the Cleansing Mask to damp skin and then remove it with a soft sponge or washcloth. It doesn't get any easier,
2. Raz Skincare A-Retinoid 5%
As a serum every night. A-retinoid is the newest type of A vitamins. It has proven to be even more effective and even more stable than both vitamin A and A-Retinol. Finally, ask the people you buy your current skin care products from if they have also switched to retinoids – or ask them for it. You want higher than 2% in your product, so that the stubborn blackheads/comedomas dissolve and do not come back.
3. Raz Skincare Repair
Then your usual evening routine with a rich night cream, e.g. Raz Skincare Repair or whatever you prefer. I know the greasy creams or Raz Skincare Repair will make you greasy, but that's the whole point of them. You are the one who decides when the skin needs oil - and you would rather have it do that at night than you yourself oil up during the day. In the package there is a small Repair 15ml. it should be enough to cover the face with the first six months.
Other treatment
Raz Skincare CP Chemical Peel
The peeling 1-3 times a week removes the top dead skin cells, so we are sure that your skin is as alive as possible and that your sebaceous glands do not become clogged. Follow the instructions on the product.
